Prior to joining the outstanding Ray White Bullsbrook Office, Murray was an owner, Principal and Licensee of two high profile franchised real estate office in Morley and Ellenbrook for a total of 14 years and was involved in all facets of the real estate process including Sales, Marketing and Management.  In 2014 he sold his interests in the franchise to concentrate full time on his passion of listing and selling residential properties.

Murray is a community minded person actively involved with supporting the intellectually disabled.  He spent 16 years in a voluntary capacity on the board of the Activ Foundation (formerly the Slow Learning Children's Group) and was President and Chairman of the Board for the 9 years before retiring from that organisation in 2001.  He was Western Australia's representative on the National Council for Intellectual Disability and Australia's delegate and  executive member to the world council in Geneva.  His contribution to the field of disability and his involvement in the community was formally recognised in June 2000 when made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM). He is also a recipient of the Australian Centenary Medal.

An active Justice of the Pease, Murray served many years on the bench of the Violence Restraining and Traffic Courts and was a Visiting Justice to Western Australian prisons.
